Summary

Dais Global, Inc. (“dais,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) is committed to protecting your information and respecting your privacy. We understand that information you provide is confidential and will treat it accordingly. We will never sell your information to third parties or use it for any purpose other than to offer or provide contracted services.

This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you, or that you may provide to us, when you visit https://www.dais.co/ (the “Site”). If you execute a contract for additional information or provision of our services, then additional data privacy protections apply under our Non-Disclosure Agreement, Master Services Agreement, and Data Processing Addendum, as applicable.

This Policy applies to information that we collect from Site visitors and information you provide so we may discuss or conduct business with you. When we collect or process such information, we act as a data controller for purposes of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). This Policy is not generally applicable to customer data or other inputs you provide for purposes of using our services or platform. In that context, we act as a data processor and process such data in accordance with the applicable contract documents.

Please read this Policy carefully. By using our Site or providing us with information, you accept and consent to the practices described here.

Customer Information versus Customer Data

We define “Customer Information” as information, including personal data, that we collect when you visit our Site, that you provide to us through online or offline interactions, or that we may compile from third-party sources. Examples include your name, title, company name, contact details, business information, payment information, and IP address. We use Customer Information to administer accounts, provide support, and improve our Site.

We define “Customer Data” as all data and inputs that you provide so that we may perform and provide services, including data processed on our platform. We process and store Customer Data under the direction and control of our customers. Dais does not disclose, share, or sell Customer Data, and does not use such data for AI or LLM training.

Dais Trust Center

The Dais Trust Center, available at https://trust.dais.co/, provides self-service access to our security and compliance documentation. Certain areas of the Trust Center require execution of an NDA before access is granted. By completing the clickwrap NDA workflow, you consent to the collection and processing of personal and business information for the purposes of executing the NDA, verifying identity and authorization, managing access to restricted documents, and maintaining records of NDA execution for legal and compliance purposes.

We also collect information about document access and download activity, such as which Trust Center documents were viewed or downloaded and when. Our Trust Center is hosted by SafeBase, by Drata, a third-party platform that acts as a data processor on our behalf and processes personal information only in accordance with our instructions.

Legal Basis for Processing

We collect and use Customer Information in order to provide access to our Site and communicate with you regarding our services in a reliable and secure manner. We also collect and use personal data:

  • Where necessary to fulfill contractual obligations to you or your company
  • Where necessary to carry out your instructions
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • For legitimate business needs
  • Because you have expressly given consent

Information You Provide

You may provide information when you ask us to contact you for business purposes, register for marketing information, or correspond with us by phone, email, or other methods. This may include identity and contact data such as your name, address, email address, company name, telephone number, job title, function, and other business information provided during the contractual relationship between you or your company and us.

When you visit our Site, we may automatically collect technical information, including your IP address, login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform. We may also collect information about your visit, including clickstream data, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, and page interaction information.

Information about Others

If you provide information to us about anyone else, such as employees, advisers, agents, customers, or suppliers, you must ensure they understand how their information will be used and that they have given permission for you to disclose it to us and for us to use it. By providing personal data of such individuals, you represent that you have the necessary permission, consent, or legal right to do so.

If we receive a request regarding personal data from any such individuals, then unless required otherwise by applicable law or agreement, we will refer the request to the relevant customer.

Automated Decision Making

We do not use Customer Information that includes personal data to make automated decisions.

Information we collect about you may be used to improve our Site and keep it safe and secure. Information we receive from other sources may be combined with information you provide and information we collect directly, and used for the purposes described above.

  • Business partners, suppliers, vendors, and contractors for performance of contracts
  • Analytics and search engine providers who assist in improvement and optimization of our Site

  • If we sell or buy any business or assets, personal data may be disclosed to prospective buyers or sellers
  • If our company or assets are acquired by a third party, personal data held by us may be one of the transferred assets

Transfer of Information

All information you provide is stored on secure devices and systems. We have implemented commercially appropriate technical, physical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Despite these precautions, no security safeguards guarantee complete security. We maintain procedures to address suspected personal data breaches and will notify you no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of a breach when required by law.

Marketing

We process personal data for the purposes of scheduling a demonstration or discussing prospective use of our services. If you register on our Site for such purposes, we will inform you and obtain your opt-in consent before collecting and using your personal data for marketing purposes.

You can ask us to stop sending emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email or by contacting us directly. Once you do so, you will no longer receive marketing emails from us, although we may continue to communicate with you regarding services if you are a customer.

Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was provided or collected, including to comply with legal, accounting, regulatory, or reporting requirements. We may also retain personal data where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, meet regulatory requirements, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or fulfill an unsubscribe request.

This Site is not intended for, and we do not provide services to, persons under the age of 18.

Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents who use our Site to request certain information regarding disclosure of personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes. In compliance with California AB 370, Section 22575, the Site does not take specific automated action in response to browser Do Not Track signals or similar mechanisms. As discussed in our Cookie Policy, visitors can take actions to restrict or eliminate the use of tracking technologies within the Site, but no actions are taken automatically in response to Do Not Track signals.
